1. PPKBI ( Pengurus Pusat Kickboxing Indonesia )

a. Definition and Recognition

PPKBI is the national governing body for kickboxing in Indonesia.

Founded in 2018, PPKBI :

• Recognized by KONI ( Indonesian National Sports Committee ) as the sole official amateur kickboxing federation in Indonesia.

• Directly affiliated with WAKO and WAKO ASIA.

b. Duties and Authorities

• Develop a development system for amateur kickboxing athletes, coaches, and referees.

• Coordinate regional and national championships, and athlete selection for the PON, SEA Games, and AIMAG.

• Develop the organization down to the provincial and district/city levels.

• Issuing certifications for referees, judges, and coaches on a national scale.

• Managing the ranking system and development levels for Indonesian amateur athletes.

c. Scope of Authority

PPKBI has authority in the amateur sector, but its bylaws also state that they adhere to both amateur and professional principles, although the implementation of the professional sector still lacks a strong independent system.

2. KBI PRO

KBI pro ( Kickboxing Indonesia Professional ) is a formal legal entity directly under the auspices of PPKBI ( Indonesian Kickboxing Association ) as its professional division. The establishment of KBI pro aims to provide a legal basis and official legitimacy for Wako Pro's presence and operations in Indonesia.

• As part of the PPKBI's internal structure, KBI pro serves as the exclusive legal umbrella governing all forms of Wako Pro's professional activities in Indonesia, including sanctioning, event implementation, professional athlete development, and management of professional competition equipment.

• With KBI pro, Wako Pro Indonesia can operate legally and in a structured manner, without the need to establish a new legal entity outside the framework of a recognized national organization. KBI pro ensures that all Wako Pro's professional activities remain aligned and in line with PPKBI's policies and organizational guidelines.
